My first love… hmm… that is a hard one. Technically, I would have to say my daughter's father. We met in 6th grade. Is that love? I thought it was. Man, I thought we were going to be together FOREVER! He was going to be my knight and shining armor and no matter what anyone else said (including my mom) we were going to get married. HA! First came the baby. And that is when I truly first loved.
My daughter was my first TRUE love! She taught me how to love unconditionally. I don't know where I would be today without her. I can't believe that she is going to be 10 years old in a couple of weeks.
So even though my first "love" and I didn't get married and live happily ever after, I will never regret one thing; Because without him, I wouldn't have my daughter and without her I would be nowhere. I LOVE YOU, DEVANNE!
